In 1972, I was led through a series of divinely-influenced events to make significant changes in my life's direction, and began a search for truth and for answers to life's great questions:
"Where did I come from? Why am I here? After this life, then what?"
My search for answers to these questions led me to the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Man's Search for Happiness Ask of God
Fulfilling prophecy, our Heavenly Father and our Savior have visited the earth in these latter days,
restoring the Church of Jesus Christ to the earth for the final time,
built upon a foundation of prophets and apostles, Jesus Christ, himself,
being the chief cornerstone. And as prophesied by Ezekiel the Old Testament prophet,
the Stick of Joseph (Book of Mormon) has been revealed in our day,
and stands together with the Stick of Judah (the Holy Bible) as another Testament of Jesus Christ.
Through personal experience, I have come to know that we have a loving Heavenly Father
who cares greatly for all of us, His spirit children, and who has a plan for our
eternal happiness. Central to that plan is the Atonement of His beloved Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ,
which extends grace to, and sanctifies the lives of all those who choose to accept Him, repent of their wrongdoings,
are baptized for the remission of sins by one having proper
priesthood authority and commit to follow Him, to live as He lived, to live a righteous life.
God, our loving Heavenly Father, wants more than anything for us, His children, to be happy here on earth, and to one day return to live in His presence in joyful and eternal family relationships. (Moses 1:39) Coming from a premortal existence, and with our agreement, God has placed us on earth to obtain a physical body, created by our earthly parents, in which our spirit dwells, to learn from our mortal experience, to be tried and tested to see if we will choose to keep His commandments when we are not in His presence. In this life we walk by faith. 'It is not enought just to believe in Jesus Christ, we must work and learn, search and pray, repent and improve, know God's laws and live them.'
Jesus Christ
directs His Church today through revelation to his authorised Apostles and Prophets.
His Church
raises a standard to the nations, and works for the temporal and spiritual salvation of all.
